Eileen Koval, CDBC, CBCC-KA, CPDT-KA, MSc brings unmatched expertise to the Las Vegas Valley working difficult, complex behavior cases that many owners believed to be beyond help.  Most of her clients have already gone through multiple trainers who simply thought solutions did not exist for the problematic behavior issues.

Most owners think they need a "dog trainer" for their dog's behavior problems, but behavior issues require more than new obedience skills.  They actually need an applied animal behaviorist.

An applied animal behaviorist is educated, skilled & certified in both training and behavior.  As an applied animal behaviorist, Eileen can identify the cause of problematic behaviors and craft cutting edge solutions unique to you and your dog or other animal's needs.

All of this starts with an initial appointment to learn more about your dog, cat, or parrot as an individual, the behavior or training issues, triggers and exacerbating factors, their motivations, and your goals.  Eileen can identify the cause(s) of behavior issues and their training or behavior modification needs from this information.

All first-time appointments are virtual (local follow-ups appointments may be in-person).  The virtual aspect offers significant advantages: accurate firsthand observation of dogs' body language and behavior in various scenarios without the stress or overstimulation of a visitor to the home; teaching skills with a demonstration dog; and maintaining safety with aggressive dogs until safety protocols can be set.  Immediate training and solutions will begin during that first appointment.  You will also better understand your dog's behavior and deepen your relationship with your dog.

Behavior modification and training should improve animal welfare and the dog-human relationship, not compromise it.

We do NOT use shouting, fear or intimidation methods in our training.  We do NOT use painful tools such as shock, prong/pinch collars, noise aversives, choke chains, or leash/collar corrections.

Testimonials

"Our 7mo old puppy (Gumbo) started resource guarding seemingly out of nowhere. We bought books, did research, watched videos, but still couldn’t figure out exactly what was behind his behavior. We contacted Eileen, and it was the best decision we have made for our puppy so far. Eileen is exceptionally perceptive, and was able to identify what was triggering Gumbo’s anxiety in specific scenarios that we would have never picked up on by ourselves. She is a great communicator, and explains things very clearly. Gumbo’s behavior has completely turned around. After working with her, we feel armed with all the knowledge and tools we need to help our dog excel. We couldn’t be happier with her as his trainer."
