The revolutionary design of the Gilly Halter (patent pending) reduces pulling while being low stress for the dog (works best on dogs with moderate to longer length muzzles). The Gilly Halter changes the pivot point when a dog pulls and moves it away from their center of gravity (the chest), which significantly reduces the force with which they can pull on leash. The dog's ability to pull is reduced, but they are otherwise free to "be a dog" -- walking loose leash, sniffing, and engaging in normal canine behaviors, which is important for dogs' psychological well-being. Walks are something dogs and humans should enjoy together as a TEAM. Many other head halters require keeping a dog in "heel" position with constant pressure on the dog's muzzle and forcibly turning their heads, making walks unpleasant for everyone. With the Gilly Halter, the noseband remains loose in position (just like a harness) unless your dog lunges or pulls. You can choose to walk your dog loose leash, sniff, or heel -- the choice is yours! Every Gilly Halter contains instructions for teaching a loose leash walk. While dogs are quicker to acclimate to the Gilly Halter than other head collars or head halters, it may take 1-2 weeks for some dogs to relax while wearing it.  Most dogs relax within the first walk, but each dog is different.  Follow the guidance and instructions enclosed with your Gilly Halter.

Size guide according to neck circumference (measured low where a regular flat collar would sit, NOT high behind the ears).  If your dog measures between sizes, purchase the larger size.
